Sharp Aquos HDTV .. What now?
I just purchased a new Sharp Aquos LCD HDTV. I wired and wirelessly through a company local cable. I use my HDTV to the fullest! So all you need do is call my cable company and tell them you want to upgrade to high definition cable, right? Well, what else do I need? I have a Bose surround sound system with DVD player - does not need anything special for that? I have no BluRay DVD or anything, just your standard DVDs. I'm a little confused about how everything HD. Is it really just as easy as calling my local business and improvement? Thanks for your help! So what is the talk of buying an antenna to capture high-definition local channels that might be able to collect?
As far as your cable company is going, that may already have access to some high-definition channels depending on what kind of service they currently have. Normally if you have digital cable you will be able to get the local broadcast cahnnels at least. Calling them would probably be easier if you are not sure what to do. For cable television would be best to have and the HDMI cable that carries the signal to your TV cable box. Since you have a sound system, would be better for you to use a Toslink optical cable that goes from your cable box to your system from Bose.
