Home Theater 5.1 speaker positioning help?
My father and I recently went to our nearest Futureshop and bought a 40 "HD [HD TV First] LCD, and 5.1 speaker system surround sound. After a couple of hours, I finally got everything connected and positioned. Sounds great, but the thing is of the speakers are not in the traditional installation (next to the TV towers, central ministries and two behind). It's in the installation, how he thought it would be in our house. It quickly attracted several "planes" of the living room, and how is the setup. Room: http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/7823/livingroomkh5.jpg Current configuration: http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/3743/livingroom2pw7.jpg Any advice? Best placement options? Thanks, Chris. Thanks so far all the world. I will return to the position of all, when the question expires and give someone the best answer. Still quite ready for the answers. Thanks again to everyone.
Option 1. If you are not willing to move from TV: center speaker above or below the TV (once m centered horizontally, with the TV). '1 / 2 'speaker on each side of the TV (right next to it). "m" on both sides of the big bed facing each other (ie in front of his ears and not the TV) Option 2. If you is ready to move from TV: TV in front of large sofa, then in half the gap in the wall. Center speaker above or below the TV (once it has focused horizontally, the TV). '1 / 2 'speakers on each side of the TV (right next to it). "M / m' on both sides of the big bed facing each other (it say in front of their ears and not the TV). (This option may not be practical / living area, but pleeeease go to option 1 as we have now is far from being the best option!) Subwoofer: In any corner of the room. In summary, the subwoofer frequencies are of course (is that a word?) So no matter what corner. However, the subwoofer sounds better when placed in a corner face to face with a flat wall. So behind the TV in Option 1 would be ideal (cables less to go around the place). Http://surroundsoundspeakerplacement.blogspot.com/ Visit for more information. You do not need to pay someone for this advice.
