... The new HD-DVD and BlueRay disks are far in development. This means that movies that you own, home vidoes, custom CDs and DVDs will soon be like the VHS tape. Obsolete. Soon must possess an HDTV to watch movies and channels. Are you satisfied with the technology advances or fast, or would you like slower, to give time for the transfer everything from movies to new media.?
DVD is only obsolete if customers buy the new formats. If you do not buy those, then Sony and Panasonic (that is doing the right HDVD?) Will have to change their plans of support. As it is now selling Sony PSP and DVD side by side with BluRay movies and regular DVDs are selling hand over fist better than any alternative. If you are going to replace film producers need to make it worth the money consumers to upgrade. The new DVD formats offer nothing but a way for producers of consumer control, more options for not consumer. Until Sony ua realize that, just throw more money and losing market share.
