How to run wirefrom ceiling speakers to wall gang box, near the floor?
I have one of these ~ 48-inch-long drill, but can not get through what I guess is the fireblock. Is it just a matter of having a more powerful drill? Prefer not to make a hole in the wall to see what is happening.
Fireblock is generally cement / concrete based. If that's what we're going to come against their grain of sand is not the right guy for that material. You will have to (sorry) a hole in the block and work from there. Or run the wire on the face of the wall / ceiling and use a cable from the deck.
