What I need cables to connect HDTV, Direct TV box and home theater?
Let me begin by saying that I know nothing about electronics. I to receive a Sony Bravia 46 "HDTV, Panasonic 5.1 Channel Home Theater System w / surround sound, and Direct TV HD. I need to know how to connect them all. I know that TV has 2 HDMI slots, and home theater has 1 HDMI. Will I be able to connect any device with HDMI cables! If so, where do they go? Does it connect to television home theater, and a TV to Direct TV box? Will I need to connect the Direct TV box to home theater? Will I need any other cables? Thanks for your help. I am completely lost
HDMI, both DirecTV box and Panasonic DVD / receiver. Optical output of the DirecTV box to the back of the Panasonic. Your Panasonic should have a 1 in the optical or coaxial digital (SPDIF might be called).
