Klipsch Quintet III or Cinema 6 PLEASE HELP!?
I bought the quintet klipsh 3 together with the synergy 10. I have read of CNET and drools over her, but then I had a high local home theater store selling the film 6 for about the same price.WHICH IS BEST? I really want one but I have no idea that to achieve all b / c the film 6 is twice MSRP is much the same price. film also 6 small center speaker regrets ..... for all the details, but .... I can not find any reviews on the Cinema 6 system (and not on the Klipsch site either). First let me say that I support the Klipsch speakers. I do not think that was wrong. But which is better? The Quintet III has excellent reviews, while the film 6 is a bit of a stranger. While both are small surround sound systems is very different technology. The Cinema 6 is more conventional (small woofer and titanium dome tweeter) and is very efficient (89 db). The III has the Klipsch Quintet seal horn tweeter is slightly less efficient (90.5 dB). The difference in efficiency means that you need a little less energy to achieve the same volume with the Cinema 6 System of ... but not really important (94 db would be). The Quintet III satellites have slightly higher frequency response than the Cinema 6 (110-23kHz vs 116-20Khz, either + or - 3 dB). Cinema 6 center has a frequency response slightly lower (more overlap with the sub) the Quintet III (105 vs. 120 Hz), which may indicate an advantage. Moreover dual woofers alone may be preferable because of the importance of the central channel to set up a 5.1. The real difference is in the subwoofer. The Synergy 10 subwoofer handles low to 28 Hz while the subgroup with 6 Cinema system is limited to 35 Hz Both have a top end 120 Hz. It's a tough, although apparently superior subwoofer nudges me toward the quintet. Add to that tests fine and the ability to say you have the world smaller and speaker system I believe the Quintet III in Cinema 6. That said, I would hear and decide to go with my gut. It is difficult, but try not to be influenced by MSRP ... Watch what you pay ... and judge the sound before you leap - if you still have that option. I hope that helps
