Can I use the home theater loudspeakers for live sound? What would be the downside?
I play folk music live (es ie without a big bass sound). I hate to carry around my big speaker cabinets. I was thinking of using home theater speakers instead, something like the 301s Bose. Can anyone shed some light on whether this would be a good idea or not? My amp puts out only 200 watts. Thanks, Dan. Can you recommend some models of 8 inches?
Jack - I would not recommend it, but could try. You will have to be careful because your amp can blow your speakers PA pleasant Bose quite easily. PA speakers are built to withstand abuse - home speakers are not made for that. A good option would be to get some smaller ones, PA Speakers lighter.
