How can I make my mini home theater and gaming center?
I need advice on how best to configure the following components. # 1-32 "HDTV w / 2 HDMI ports, 1 S-Video and the standard HD and other components. # 2 - "Basic" Direct TV receiver w / S-Video and basic components. # 3 - XBOX 360 Elite w / HDMI port, digital optical port and base components, and # 4 - LG Mini System w / 1 HDMI port, digital optical port, HD and basic components. My http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8264969&type=product&id=1170289604878 HDTV has the following inputs: S-Video, Composite I and II, the component I and II, I and II, HDMI, VGA, and TV. My Direct TV receiver has an HDMI port, so I can not do that. I now have S-Video direct use on my TV. Yet I connect my XBOX 360 Elite. So, where do I connect these things?
Your system does not even have mini-HDMI input. This is what I do: 1) Connect the cable to the input mini system components. Take the analog audio cable box and connected to the analog input of the Mini System. 2) Take your elite HDMI xbox and connect directly to the TV. Now take the optical output of the Xbox and put it to the mini optical system. You should be able to see the picture on your TV and listen the sound through your mini system. 3) Now you can take an HDMI cable and connect the mini to the TV system. This group should work up to you. Make sure the system Mini upconverts any input to HDMI. If this is not the case that you should only use the output of mini system components and connect to the TV.
