what is best output 5.1 analog or digital fiber optic out?
OK just to clarify what im asking for digital fiber optic: http://hometheater.about.com/od/hometheaterdoityourself/ig/Home-Theater-Connection-Photo-/Digital-Optical-Audio-Connect.htm and 5.1 up: how http://hometheater.about.com/od/hometheaterdoityourself/ig/Home-Theater-Connection-Photo-/Blu-ray-Player---Rear-Panel.htm has a for each speaker cable from the DVD player to A / V receiver I just want to know which has better sound quality for movies and games, etc.
The optical cable if much better, but it is digital, and optical fiber is used to transmit the signal light. The reason this is better than when using an analog cable made of braided copper wire there will always be resistance, however, the fiber optic cable is a 1:1 cable which means no resistance and 100% of the signal coming out at the other end. Also with the fiber length has no limitations as traditionally made with copper wires. Definitely go with the fiber optic cable for the audio!
