Connecting an Xbox to a home theater system with DVD JVC?

I have a JVC TH-M303 DVD Digital Home Theater system. The connections on my TV are old and produce a very distorted picture of Xbox. I connect the DVD system due to the DVD image quality on the screen is excellent, I do not know where to connect cables in the back of the DVD. Can anyone help me?

The two previous answers sound pretty good, but let me add my 2 cents. If you have a problem with his performance, then you have to change the input on the DVD player. For example, I have a DVD recorder that has entries mulptiple (cable, s video or even red / white / yellow at the front entrance). Remember this, just because the DVD looks good on TV, does not mean your Xbox look so either because the audio and video is as strong as the weakest link. To further clarify, if you are running component video and optical audio from your DVD player to your TV and run to the left / right / video (red / white / yellow cables) from Xbox to your DVD player, then the best reception can hope for is the red / white / yellow.
