How to plan a home theater system.?

Placing DLP projector, screen and audio equipment

Find answers a relationship (question first link), providing an excellent site in the high-tech design (as well as projectors, screens, etc.). I also then included links back to your speaker configuration (including a subwoofer in the setup), distance and calculate the screen height and a projector throw distance calculator. Collectively, these links provide most of what you need. You can be the design of a dedicated HT or simply adjust in an existing room. In the latter case, read on. In the first case, most of these are not applicable. To undertake a project HT true (and can be rewarding) will have to decide to read a lot and answers to many questions. I designed my own theater and found that almost everything is interrelated. For example, I had to know where and how many people will be accommodated in knowing where the projector would be (I wanted the platform mounted on the main entry). This distance is defined to the screen, which eliminated some projectors. He also dictated the screen size and placement (See link distance calculator). I wanted electronics in the back of the room, but this meant that the remote control had to be able to control the team bounce the signal off the screen (not All remotes have a range). In general, you'll save money if the projector mounting platform (short cables, no mounting projector), but this requires a projector that has appropriate flexibility of placement. I knew I wanted a control room light, but can not, in which case the projector brightness requirements may be different from mine. Some other things to consider include: - What type of home theater and where (a room dedicated to fit different life or Board of family)? - Aesthetics (eg finishing, wall and ceiling color, style seats, extras) - speaker placement to define the wiring. How many? Where is the subwoofer be? - Lighting? Electrical outlets? - Ventilation (heat vents and A / C, the cold air return)? - Satellite cable runs or cable (my HD PVR requires two tracks for two recipients, more than a third to a second TV in other parts of the house). - Computer connections (LAN or WiFi)?. - Acoustics, both with sound (sound insulation) and optimization (you need carpeting, acoustic baffles, etc)? - Seating? Number, location, sightlines / angle to the screen of the outdoor seating? - Type (DIY, fixed, electric, manual, etc), material shape and size of the screen? - Media and storage of equipment? So ... a whole list (and probably a few I forgot!). And, as mentioned, almost all decisions referred to others. Some of the suggestions worked for me: - consider the first room, in terms of location, size and seats in - deciding on the placement of the projector and equipment - develop a short list of projectors that "adjustment" - to decide on the screen to adapt into the room and the projector. The last point I finally built my own screen after a process defined in the DIY forum AVS forum screen. It took about $ 50, and worked so well that he can never buy a screen. However, this plan requires that when I did the installation. I got on shelf my projector on a wall, but reversed to accommodate the lack of lens shift. This meant I had to make my own adapter. I hope this helps. Good luck!
