I recently bought a 56 inch Samsung plasma display and because this is the first time I'm investing in a system home theater, I have no idea what to get for surround sound speakers. Only four speakers who want to get up near the ceiling, but that's all. If someone know of any good quality and affordable speakers that I buy, please let me know. Thanks! PS, if the speakers can be purchased at Best Buy, please let me know, because that is basically the only electronics store that is in my area.

I think you have a 58-inch plasma. Samsung not remember making from 56 .... but anyway. All I want 4 speakers? and surround sound 5.1 and usually there will be 6 speakers total. 4 surround, 1 center and 1 subwoofer. Also there are 2.1 surround will have 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer. If you want to go half-finished, then you probably want to go with the new Onkyo 607 (or 606 previous model) and the pioneer of 1019 (or before 1018 as well). Then you have to buy a 5.1 speaker configuration. Something like the Klipsch I attached link or the Amazon link for Polk's Setup is great and much cheaper (from 399 in BestBuy). Now if you want to spend less money overall. Go with what they call (HTIB Home Theater in a box) that comes with everything you need, but make sure it has HDMI with audio. "Do not go through HDMI, which only make the video to via HDMI. I linked a HTIB, but often the subwoofers with them, dont sound good, speakers are good, but the subs just cannot keep up. I attached a Phillips received very good reviews. The receptors listed above, you can get from Amazon is much cheaper then Best Buy and you'll have a lot of HDMI inputs each. In my opinion, if you can afford a Samsung that size. Choose the receiver and Polk speakers. You will be totally satisfied. Instead of the "Well, perhaps he should have arrived."
