How can I get my monitor to work after getting a "system test not VGA" message?

I just bought a CRT off eBay and plug it into my computer as it worked only for a bit, then froze. Then reboot my pc, and the monitor shows nothing and said "the VGA test system is not "through the speakers. I tried F5 during the boot operation, but even shows two screens. help?! I thought I had to change details. I purchased a monitor from eBay, and worked for a time, with a great image, and then sat on a DVD menu and then froze. After restart the PC, the monitor has no display, and say that "the system does not prove VGA" on the speakers. Even shows two. I tried to connect back to my old monitor, but that does not work properly. It's like they both just go on waiting and not receiving the signal from the PC. Help?

Hello U, the first thing you need to do is verify the problem. I know it seems cut and dry, but a simple test will. You can connect a different monitor to your PC and if you get a screen, monitor EBay is fried. hook or the monitor to a different PC and if you get a screen, your PC is having some different problems.
