HDMI input is important in a home theater system?
I am looking to buy Philips HTS3555 Home theater system and I read that had an HDMI output, but no HDMI input. this particular system has a HDDVD player acting as a receiver. I have some questions and would appreciate any help: 1. What is a HDMI input and it is important to have? 2. Basically I want to be able to watch movies in HD with surround sound, I will be able to do without an HDMI input?
You do not need an entry, an exit from the system is all you need to watch movies in surround sound and high definition. GE also better sound through thte the HDMI. The input port is used primarily for recording in my opinion, but to see all u need is an ouput in the system and input on the TV.
