my DVD player and HDTV LCDs are progressive scan capable. I use component cables to connect the two machines. I can hear the DVD but I see no picture. , The guide says to select the interlaced mode on TV, progressive scan and restart, but only the DVD player has a menu system for changing video modes. I can not access the menu, because there is absolutely no video shows, even the DVD screen saver. I know it works because I have had the problem and just changed B4 Plugs flat composite video mode of restoration in the progressive DVD player (for TV), then switch back to component connectors.
