Is it necessary to have an HDTV to use a blue ray player?
Is it necessary to use a HD player Blu ray, if I have to buy a new HD TV or is there a converter can i get for my current TV. I reallt dont understand all this, an image is an image. Do not see a difference between the new HD and an old flat sceen TV. Or a VHS to DVD.
You do not understand why? You can be blind if you can not tell the difference between 480 standard or 1080p HDTV? I really do not think any of his statements, because they have no sense. Go to a store that has a Blu-Ray and 1080p HDTV and running a demo I say you can not see the difference between the old pipe 480 and the standard definition of HDTV? Answer to your question loco - No, you do not need an HDTV to view Blu-Ray, but only see a crappy picture and watch TV in the 70s. It is sending a video signal to 1080p, but if the TV can only produce 480 picture resolution standard is all that is going to see.
