Blu-Ray not playing in 1080i?
I have a PS3 and I connected to my LCD TV-32 Insignia NS with a Monster HDMI cable. Automatically turns on the HDMI cable system with a screen I accepted, changed the resolution to 1080i (which looks great). Put my Blu-Ray and tried to load and then said: "This video can not be play (80029940). I read that if you turned off the PS3 and it works again and held power button for 5 seconds will automatically change the resolution setting for television, I tried that and gave me the same display system for the HDMI cable, this time I refused to change the resolution and Blu-Ray DVD worked .. not really I see no diffrence in quality (maybe that's just me). Anyway, why not play in 1080i? Not the best quality? What's happening?
Insignia TVs are rated very poorly (see first link). In seeking an NS32 its products page to see what kind of resolution that can reach I'm not finding the exact number who have given and looking at some that are nearby are 720 games ... so my first thought is that TV is rated for operation 1080i mode? I'm not sure it is.
