I have a 42 "plasma Samsung, RCA audio output. I dispise cinema kits at home and I'm not a fan of surround sound, but would add more under my TV. I watched a couple subs powered with an RCA and I wonder if all I have to do is plug it? Will you cut the sound of my TV speakers, if I do and will work on all devices in the TV input? If it works what is the minimum voltage which should receive? 3 models I've looked at all are $ 1 watt. 100/200/400 all name brands watt. I would get the 200 for the price, but I think the 400 would give me clean sounding bass I want. Thank you. Waiting in line to buy? ... Just plugged into a monkey by the echo and triple again by sub. Sounds great, but how can one end higher power subwoofer filter high and medium frequencies because I still have an echo?

one thing you might want to try is to see if your TV has a menu turn on aux audio output. if you do not see if when you turn it on if you turn off the TV speakers. If you still hear the sound then nothing prevents you connect the subregion. however, if the speakers on the TV is off and you have the sub connected only hear muffled sounds and bass. I would recommend to perform a power control set of computer speakers, many of them can really make a deep sound and plenty powerful. most will have a typical 1 / 8 "type headphone jack that can be easily adapted to the efficient administration of the need to RCA connection. I just bought a 200Watt system 2.1 for my computer for less 150 at Circuit City. BestBuy I guess having the same or even better, check out eBay if you do not mind shipping. I hope that helps.
