How can I get the most out of my current home theater system?

I currently own a Panasonic SA-HT930 HT system ... I am thinking in buying an LCD HDTV, research I've done I think I'll go with the 37 "Vizio LCD, but as for the wires that I will update the speaker wires that came in the box with the HTS panisonic well as an upgrade to cable for the subwoofer. I'm thinking of Monster cables for all research I've done, but I'm open to suggestions there. Nobody could offer any assistance on how I should wire the Panasonic SA-HT930 to Vizio 37 "LCD and as an Xbox 360 to get the best sound and picture quality. As far as I am aware of the XBOX360 HDMI is not capable, but I'm not 100% on that. I m also thinking about one of the Logitech Harmony remotes universal. Any help / comfort is greatly appreciated. I do not want to go buy a bunch of cables (cables expensive) if the jump will be in vain. thanks in advance

Do not buy a Vizio !!!!! you'll be lucky to last a year. Seriously
