Why does sound not work on my TV in the home theater set-up?
Ok, this feels like an issue that may be difficult to answer through the Internet, but will give him a chance. I bought a new receiver, connected to TV, DVD player and TiVo box. The problem is that you can not run sound through my receiver when I watch TV (which works perfectly when using the DVD player). I was able to get it working briefly for some channels but not in others, but now I can not get it. May have a faulty cable? I've gone through the troubleshooting tips and no manual work. Any idea will be appreciated. I have a HD cable going from my receiver to my TiVo box and my TV. Do I need more cables than that?
Connect Optical or composite cables (red and white) output from cable box to the inputs of the receiver.
