How to install a microphone in my home theater.?
I want to set a microphone inside my home theater system, and use it as a machine karaoke for me to use the microphone and have any of my regular sources in the background. independent volume control for microphone and the background source. Yamaha 7.1 receiver W Progressive DVD / component video output and fiber out for audio. HD satellite receiver w / COMPONENT VIDEO OUT and fiber out for audio. w Wireless Mic / receiver that contains a 1 / 4 "plug (Do not have a microphone input place) Im sure there is another piece of equipment should I buy, but Im not sure why, and where it would connect.
Go to your local radio shack … I want something called a mixer. There will be RCA inputs and outputs, along with the 1 / 4 inch inputs Microphone in the back. You can connect the microphone (s) in their own channels and its source (CD / DVD) on another channel. Sliders that will to control the volume of each source. Should be less than $ 50 … enjoy!
